[A metallic turquoise oct. wears an elaborate surface of silver points and circular details. The decoration wraps around the head and travels down the tentacles, turning each curve into a line of ornament. Its eye is treated like a jewel, concentrating the detail into a focal point. Set beside the sea in Sharm El Sheikh, the sculpture brings the language of costume and adornment into the restaurant’s surroundings. It appears as a guest with a carefully composed appearance: extravagant, a little strange, and entirely comfortable being looked at.]
