[The iconic rubber duck is the starting point for a floating sculpture at Marlin and Caviar in Sharm El Sheikh. Its rounded yellow body and orange beak preserve the familiarity of the childhood toy, while pixelated sunglasses and a pointed black headpiece give the character a new attitude. Moving the duck from the bathtub to the sea changes the encounter. An object associated with play at a small, domestic scale becomes a presence within the restaurant’s beach setting.]
